Written by Scott Feller, Owner & CEO, Koala Cooling & Plumbing
I'm going to be upfront with you: I own a plumbing company in Round Rock. So you might be wondering why I'd write a list that includes my own competitors.
The honest answer is that I get calls all the time from people who need plumbing help and I'm not always the right fit — maybe my schedule is full, maybe they're in an area we don't cover well, or maybe what they need is outside our wheelhouse. When that happens, I'd rather send them to someone I actually respect than leave them searching Google with their fingers crossed.
So I did the homework. Every company on this list is locally owned (no private equity, no out-of-state roll-ups), holds a valid TSBPE plumbing license, operates out of a commercial address, and has earned the kind of reviews that tell me they're treating customers right. I'd send my own family to any one of them.
Here they are, in no particular order — except for Koala, which I'm listing first because, well, it's my list.
1. Koala Cooling & Plumbing

Owner: Scott & Stacie Feller
Address: 1102 S Industrial Blvd, Suite D, Round Rock, TX 78681
License: RMP-37834
In Business Since: 2019
Website: KoalaCooling.com
I'll keep this one short since I'm obviously biased. We started Koala in 2019 — my wife Stacie and I built it from the ground up, and plumbing became a second division a couple years in. We run a tight ship: licensed master plumber, upfront pricing, and 24/7 availability because a burst pipe at 2 a.m. doesn't care what time it is.
We're also Navien Certified Installers for tankless water heaters, which matters if that's on your radar. Our plumbing team operates out of Suite D, right next door to our HVAC crew.
If you want to check us out, you know where to find us. If we're not the right fit, keep reading.
2. Good Clean Plumbing (GC Plumbing)

Owner: Eric Cunningham, President
Address: 720 S Bell Blvd, Unit 5A, Cedar Park, TX 78613
License: RMP-40747
In Business Since: 1998
Website: GoodCleanPlumbing.com
Good Clean Plumbing has been around for 25 years, which in the local plumbing world is saying something. They're headquartered in Cedar Park and serve Round Rock along with Lago Vista, Leander, and Austin.
What I like about GCP is that they're a true residential-focused operation — this isn't a company trying to be everything to everyone. Their license number has been active since before most of the companies on this list existed, and the reviews consistently highlight their honesty and communication. When a plumber is honest enough to tell a customer to fix something themselves instead of charging for it, that's a culture I can respect.
The name says it all. No messes, no potty mouths, floor savers in the house. My kind of people.
3. Crow's Plumbing Service

Owner: Jack Crow (veteran-owned)
Address: 1500 Chisholm Trail Rd, Suite 100, Round Rock, TX 78681
License: RMP-21208
In Business Since: 2003
Website: CrowsPlumbing.com
Crow's is right down the road from us on Chisholm Trail, which means I've driven past their trucks more times than I can count. They've been running in Round Rock since 2003 — veteran-owned, family-operated, and exclusively residential.
That 'exclusively residential' part matters. When a company doesn't chase commercial contracts, it means every tech they hire and every system they build is dialed in for homeowners. The Crow's crew focuses on the same neighborhoods we do, and their reviews have the kind of detail that tells me they're doing the job right — not just checking boxes.
Over 2,000 Google reviews for a residential-only plumber in one metro. That's not a fluke.
4. American Eagle Plumbing

Owners: Jon & Ellen Scheumann
Address: 525 Private Road 900, Hutto, TX 78634
License: RMP-43008
In Business Since: 2009
Website: americaneagleplumbing.net
American Eagle Plumbing has been a Williamson County fixture since 2009. They're family-owned, based in Hutto, and cover Round Rock and the surrounding area with full residential plumbing services — everything from water heater installs to whole-house repiping.
The name that comes up in their reviews over and over again is Jon, master plumber and lead technician, the kind of guy who actually explains what he's doing and why. Flat-rate pricing, on-time arrivals, and a 129-day guarantee on drain cleaning — that last one caught my attention. That's a company confident in its own work.
If you're in Hutto or the eastern side of Williamson County, these are your people.
5. Aloha Plumbing

Owner: Jerred Shurbet
Address: 2715 Sam Bass Rd, Suite 566, Round Rock, TX 78681
License: RMP-40634
In Business Since: 2003 (est.)
Website: alohaplumbingatx.com
Aloha Plumbing is a genuine Round Rock local — based on Sam Bass Road, serving Georgetown, Hutto, Round Rock, and the Austin area. They describe themselves as a 'true repair company, not a replacement company,' which is a philosophy I respect even if it costs them revenue. When a plumber is trying to save you money instead of sell you something, that says a lot.
Jerred, the owner, is the kind of owner who doesn't mind getting his hands dirty. More importantly, he is that rare tradesman who suggests DIY options when appropriate and gives advice you can actually use. In a world full of upselling, that's rare.
Specializes in tankless water heaters, which if you've been reading our blog, you know is a product category I take seriously.
6. Roger's Plumbing

Owner: Roger Patterson
Address: 7696 183A Toll Rd #4B, Leander, TX 78641
License: M-18148
In Business Since: 2017
Website: CallRogersPlumbing.com
Roger Patterson started Roger's Plumbing in 1993 and has been serving Central Texas homeowners ever since. With over 30 years in the trade and a family-owned operation rooted in Leander, Roger's brings the kind of institutional knowledge that only comes from decades of working the same soil, the same homes, and the same hard water. They specialize in leak detection, trenchless drain repair, water heaters, and slab leaks — and they back every job with a Happy Today or You Don't Pay" guarantee. If you want a plumber who's been around long enough to have fixed your neighbor's pipes twice, Rogers is worth a call.
7. Plumbing Outfitters

Owners: Warren & Ashley Stroud
Address: 1311 Chisholm Trail Rd, Suite 404, Round Rock, TX 78681
License: MPL-41984
In Business Since: 2017
Website: PlumbingOutfitters.com
Warren and Ashley Stroud built Plumbing Outfitters from a one-man show starting in 2017 and have grown it to over 21 people — all while keeping it local and keeping their values intact. Warren is a licensed master plumber from Coupland who prides himself on craftsmanship, not just getting the job done and getting out.
I respect the trajectory here. Growing that fast without selling to PE is hard, and they've done it. Their pricing is upfront, their work is code-compliant, and they serve Round Rock, Austin, Cedar Park, Georgetown, and beyond.
If you like the idea of a company that was built from scratch by the same people still running it, Plumbing Outfitters fits that profile.
8. Hambone Plumbing & Septic Pumping

Owner: Justin Hamby
Address: 818 West 2nd Street, Taylor, TX 76574
License: M-12470
In Business Since: 2019
Website: HambonePlumbing.com
The name alone deserves a tip of the hat. Justin Hamby founded Hambone in 2019 — same year we started Koala, which I will absolutely hold against him in the friendliest way possible — and has built a 3rd-generation plumbing operation out of Taylor that covers the full Austin metro.
Hambone is one of the few plumbers on this list who also does septic pumping, which if you're in the rural edges of Williamson County (Hutto, Taylor, Manor), matters quite a bit. 24/7 emergency service, honest pricing, and a family-run culture that comes through in every review I read.
Also: 5.0 on Google. That's not easy to maintain as you grow. They're doing something right.
9. ROD Plumbing Inc.

Owner: Angel Rodriguez
Address: 1 Chisholm Trail Rd, Suite 450-#4350, Round Rock, TX 78681
License: M-40538
In Business Since: 2017
Website: rodplumbingtexas.com
ROD Plumbing was founded in 2017 by Angel Rodriguez, who started with two plumbers and more than 15 years of combined experience and has built it into a solid multi-tech operation serving Round Rock, Pflugerville, Hutto, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Leander, Taylor, and Austin.
Their techs — Gustavo, Eddie, Juan — show up in reviews the way good techs do: by name, with specific praise for explaining the problem rather than just fixing it. That's a hallmark of a well-run shop. The owner is a Master Plumber who stays current with continuing education, which matters more than people realize.
ROD is one of the Round Rock plumbers that punches above its size. Keep an eye on them.
10. ABC Home & Commercial Services

Owner: Bobby Jenkins
Address: 9475 E Highway 290, Austin, TX 78724 (headquarters)
In Business Since: 1949
Google Rating: 4.9
Website: abchomeandcommercial.com
ABC is the big dog on this list — founded in 1949, 600+ licensed professionals, and a full-service operation covering pest control, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and more across Central and South Texas. Bobby Jenkins owns it, and what sets ABC apart in this era of PE roll-ups is that it's still a family-run company after 75+ years.
I'll be honest: ABC wasn't on my original list. They're a larger operation, and when I think "locally owned and operated" I tend to picture a smaller crew. But a reader made a fair point — Bobby Jenkins is Austin. This company started here and is still run here. It isn't a franchise or a private equity rollup. That's the whole criteria, and ABC clears it. Just as important, the rest of us want to be Bobby when we grow up!
If you have a property with complex needs — plumbing and HVAC and pest and electrical — ABC can be one call instead of four. For straight plumbing work, you're paying for their infrastructure, which means pricing may reflect that. But the quality is there, and the local ownership is real.
How I Built This List
Every company here had to clear four bars:
1. TSBPE-Licensed. Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners license — active and in good standing. You can verify any plumber at tsbpe.texas.gov.
2. Commercial Address. Not a residential address used as a business address. Real companies have real offices.
3. Locally Owned. No private equity ownership, no out-of-state roll-up parent companies. The money stays in Central Texas.
4. Proven Track Record. 4.7 or better out of 5.0 stars with Google, with a minimum of 75 reviews to ensure that it's not just family writing them.
Each company on this list is as locally owned as it gets.
Know a Company That Should Be on This List?
If you work for or have used a locally-owned Round Rock-area plumber that you think belongs here, tell me about them. They need to be TSBPE-licensed, operating out of a commercial address, and genuinely locally owned. I'll do my homework and update the list if they qualify.
You can reach me at koalacooling.com or call us at (512) 759-8800. And yes, if you're a competitor and you think you should be on here, I'm happy to hear the case.
